The difference between newborn sessions and 1 year sessions…
Did my first 1 year session it was an experience to say the least but it was still fun. I felt out of my element. However, we still got good photos…
Newborns:

- Sleepy
- Easy to manipulate (because they’re so sleepy)
- Way more cooperative because they have absolutely no idea of what you’re doing.
- All faces are acceptable and adorable, including but not limited to: yawning, passing gas, sucking their lips/ hands/ or arm, resting, etc…
- It takes hours to do these sessions.
- The mom’s are worried every time the baby cries (not always but sometimes).
1 year photo session:

- They are full of energy.
- They get grumpy when they’re not happy therefore not being cooperative.
- They have runny noses from crying that are sometimes difficult to edit.
- They are mobile and don’t seem to sit/stand with your small setup.
- They have many faces that they’ve either learned from family/friends or just on their own.
- They can say no.
- They choose to ignore you when you try to hold up their favorite toy and make absolute ridiculous faces for them.
- They put every prop that you bring to the session in their mouth.
- You have to do the session quick or a tantrum will come.
- Mom’s aren’t as worried about the crying they’ve learned to ignore it.
